Place the cadaver in the supine position and abduct the thighs. Carefully remove the skin from the labia majora.

  1. Continue tracing the nerve and artery until they split into superficial and deep branches. Trace the superficial branches into the superficial fascia of the labia majora. Identify the posterior labial nerves and arteries. (G 5.58;N 391;Gl 22.20) Leave the nerves and arteries intact while carefully removing the fat from the labia majora. The skin may then be removed from the lateral aspect of the labia majora.
