Surface Palpation - Head and Neck - Bones
Temporal Bone
Sitting or standing (or supine if necessary or convenient)

Latertal to the patient

Please sit (or stand). May I touch the side of your head?
(If the answer is yes) I will gently place my fingers on this area (or demonstrate touching the bone).
(If the answer is no) I will just look at the side of your head.
Ask the patient/client if you may touch the lateral aspect of the head on the temporal bone.
If the answer is yes, place one or two fingers on the temporal bone and continue to move your fingers along the extent of the bone.
If the answer is no, inspect the area visually.

There is no audio with the patient/client video.
