How do I change the window layout?
The VH Dissector 5 includes a system of window templates that allows you to quickly switch between different window layouts depending on the anatomical information you are looking to present or explore.
To change between these different window layouts use the drop-down menu located in the upper-left corner of the VH Dissector application window.
Full Layout

This layout allows you to see everything the VH Dissector has to offer with all 3 cross-sectional views, the 3D view and the lesson area. It provides a great way to explore three-dimensional anatomy, however, first time users should probably start with a simpler layout such as the "classic layout" illustrated below.
Atlas Layout

This layout is similar to the full layout but does not include the lesson area. This layout is primarily of use as a cross-sectional reference tool when correlating views with radiological studies in an interactive environment.
Classic Layout

This is the classic VH Dissector window layout from v4, however, in v5 the cross-sectional view presented can be switched between transverse, coronal or sagittal.
Cross-Section Layout

This layout is ideal for presenting cross-sectional anatomy in a single plane. The cross-sectional view can display transverse, coronal or sagittal cross-sections while the 3D view provides the user with a frame of reference and navigational aid for moving through the cross-sections.
3D Layout

The 3D layout is ideal for situations where the cross-sectional anatomy does not significantly impact the anatomical presentation or when it is desirable to increase the height of the lesson area. One key area this can be used is when presenting the dissection photographs side-by-side with the Visible Human reconstructions in the anatomy lab.
