            (the spinous process is the projection touching the splenius capitis muscle)

            T1 spinous process
            (the spinous process is the projection touching the splenius capitis muscle)
- Ligamentum nuchae
- Median longitudinal furrow
- Erector spinae
- Lower trapezius
- Middle trapezius
- Upper trapezius
Shoulder Region
- 
            Spine of the scapula
            (this landmark is between the infraspinatus and supraspinatus muscles)
- 
            Medial border of the scapula
            (the rhomboid muscle is attaching to this landmark)
- 
            Inferior angle of the scapula
            (the teres major muscle is attaching to this landmark)
Pelvic Region
- 
            Iliac crest
            (the cross-section is at the level of this landmark)
- 
            Posterior superior iliac spine
