Prior to starting this dissection, you must have the support staff bisect your cadaver's head and neck.

1. Use a hand saw to transect your cadaver's thorax at the level where you sectioned the ascending aorta during the removal of the heart.
2. Use a cart to transport the upper portion of your cadaver to the bandsaw. Please cover the cadaver with a sheet during transportation.
3. The staff member will bisect your cadaver for you. Under no circumstances are students allowed to use the bandsaw.
