- Trace the tendon of the peroneus brevis muscle to its distal attachment to the lateral base of the 5th metatarsal. (G 6.63B;N 506;Gl 32.21B)
- Trace the tendon of the peroneus longus muscle distally until it disappears into the plantar aspect of the foot.
Important Relationships
- The tendon of the peroneus brevis muscle passes posterior to the fibula (lateral malleolus).
- The tendon of the peroneus longus muscle passes posterior to the fibula (lateral malleolus).
