  1. Identify the tendon of the flexor hallucis longus muscle. Trace the tendon to its attachment to the distal phalanx of the 1st toe.
  2. Identify the two heads of the flexor hallucis brevis muscle.
  3. Reflect the tendons of the flexor digitorum longus and lumbrical muscles towards the metatarsal-phalangeal joints and identify the transverse and oblique heads of the adductor hallucis muscle.
  4. Identify the flexor digiti minimi brevis muscle.
