Review the trapezius muscle  (G 2.32;N 174;Gl 25.20A) from the first dissection exercise.

  1. Look for the accessory nerve coursing along the deep surface of the trapezius typically 3-5 cm from the medial border of the muscle. (G 2.32;N 174) The accompanying artery is the superficial branch of the transverse cervical artery.
