(ON BOTH SIDES) Review the anatomy of the cubital fossa. (G 2.49C;N 432;Gl 28.36)

  1. Identify the distal biceps brachii tendon and the bicipital aponeurosis. Reflect the bicipital aponeurosis and identify the median nerve, and brachial artery and its bifurcation into the radial and ulnar arteries.
Important Relationships
  • The median nerve passes anterior to the elbow joint.
  • The median nerve passes posterior (deep) to the bicipital aponeurosis.
