Use the anterior approach to identify the anterior structures of the orbit.

1. Reflect the orbicularis oculi muscle and identify the orbital septum, superior tarsal plate and medial palpebral ligament. (G 7.15;N 81;Gl 35.10) Attempt to identify the lacrimal sac .
2. Reflect the orbital septum and tarsal plate and identify the lacrimal gland and trochlea. (G 7.15;N 82;Gl 35.5)
