Humeral Fracture

  1. Axilla & Brachial Plexus

Use the 3D model and the cross section to explore this area. Notice that the subclavian artery and vein do not travel side by side entirely. What muscle separates them near the neck? What spinal nerves compose the brachial plexus? If any one of these spinal nerves were damaged, what deficits would you expect to see in a patient?

  2. Anterior Compartment of the Arm and Brachial Plexus

What muscles are within the anterior compartment of the arm? Identify each of their nervous and blood supply. Use the 3D model to trace the two proximal attachment points of the biceps brachii.

  3. Forearm & Dorsum of the Hand

Explore the muscles within the hand. What motion does the dorsal interossei generate? What about the palmer interossei?

  4. Anterior & Posterior Compartments of the Forearm

Which muscles compose the anterior & posterior compartments of the forearm? What are their nervous and blood supplies? Identify the common origin of attachment for the posterior compartment muscles as well as the anterior compartment muscles.
