Wrist Joint Motions
Standing, sitting, or lying supine
 
Lateral, anterior or posterior to the patient.
 
May I touch your wrist? (or point to the demonstrated area). Now please move your hand up and down and then out and in (or demonstrate).
With the patient relaxed, gently place the fingers around the articulation of the distal forearm with the proximal hand. Either guide or demonstrate motions and observe as the patient moves through wrist flexion and extension, radial and ulnar deviation.
