Sitting or lying supine
Ask the patient to wear shorts to allow direct palpation on the skin.
Lateral to the patient.
Please sit (or lie down on your back). Relax. May I the touch around your knee? (or demonstrate).
Guide the patient to sit (or lie supine). Touch the small bony prominence on the lateral aspect of the lateral femoral condyle.
VH - Lateral femoral epicondyle ñ add the quadriceps tendon, patellar ligament, quadriceps and the patellar retinaculum on one side
