May I place my fingers on the front of your shoulder? (or point to the demonstrated area)
With the patient relaxed, gently place your fingers on the anterior humeral head while the patient/client is guided to medially and laterally rotate the humerus. The greater tubercle is more prominent on the anterolateral aspect of the humeral head, and the lesser tubercle is more prominent on the anteromedial aspect of the humeral head.
