Baroreceptors (pressure receptors)- monitor arterial pressure or changes in the arterial wall conformation and responsively raise or lower blood pressure. The receptors will also send signals to the medulla oblongta via the glossopharyngeal and vagus nerve. The medulla oblongota in return will adjust the heart rate and breathing rate to stabilize the blood pressure.
The left anterior descending artery provides blood to the anterior wall of the left ventricle, anterior ventricular septum, and bundle branches.
