- Identify the masseter muscle attached to the angle of the mandible and the sectioned zygomatic arch. (G 7.41B;N 54; Gl 34.23) Attempt to identify the masseteric nerve and artery near the mandibular notch.
Important Relationships
- The masseter muscle is positioned lateral (superficial) to the mandible (ramus) and inferior to the zygomatic arch.
