1. Identify the lateral pterygoid muscle. (G 7.42A;N 55;Gl 32.16 & 34.25) Superficial to the muscle, idenitify the nerves and arteries of the infratemporal fossa.  
Important Relationships
  • The lateral pterygoid muscle is positioned superior to the medial pterygoid muscle and anterior to the head and neck of the mandible.
