Identify the great saphenous vein, superficial inguinal lymph nodes, and lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. (G 6.14A;N 470;Gl 34.26)
- Identify the great saphenous vein within the superficial fascia.
- Attempt to identify the superficial inguinal lymph nodes clustered around the great saphenous vein at the saphenous opening (where the vein passes through the deep fascia).
- Identify the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve approximately 3 cm medial to the anterior superior iliac spine at the inguinal ligament.
