- (ON BOTH SIDES) Remove the skin from the anterior compartment of the forearm, and palmar surfaces of the hand and digits 1 and 2. You do not need to remove the skin from digits 3 - 5. Do not remove the fascia (palmar aponeurosis) with the palmar skin. Be careful and leave the palmar nerves and arteries intact.
