Obturator Externus (deep)
- Bony attachments:
- 1. Margin of obturator foramen and membrane
- 2. Trochanteric fossa of femur
- Innervation: Posterior division of obturator nerve (L3 & L4)
- Arterial supply: Obturator artery, medial femoral circumflex artery
- Action: Laterally rotates the thigh and stabilizes femur in acetabulum
-
Gracilis

- Innervation: Posterior division of obturator nerve (L2 & L3)
- Arterial supply: Branches of the Femoral artery, may receive medial femoral circumflex artery, obturator artery
- Action: Adduct and flex thigh
-
Adductor Brevis
- Bony attachments:
- 1. Margin of obturator foramen, body of pubis (just inferior to pectineus)
- 2. Pectineal line, linea aspera

- Innervation: Anterior division of obturator nerve (L2, L3, & L4)
- Arterial supply: Obturator artery, medial femoral circumflex artery
- Action: Adducts thigh
-
Adductor Magnus
- Bony attachments:
- 1. Pubis Ischium, margin of obturator foramen
- 2. Gluteal tuberosity, linea aspera, supracondylar ridge, and adductor tubercle (creates "adductor canal")
- Innervation: Posterior division of obturator nerve (L3 & L4) and tibial branch of sciatic (L4)
- Arterial supply: Obturator artery, medial femoral circumflex artery
- Action: Adducts the thigh, part works in flexion, part works in extension
