Sartorius (most superficial of thigh muscles, "tailor's muscle")
- Bony Attachments:
- 1: Anterior superior iliac spine
- 2: Superior medial surface of tibia (with (2) other muscles to comprise pes anserine/"goose's foot")
- Innervation: Femoral nerve (L2 & L3)
- Arterial Supply: Branches of the femoral artery
- Action: Flexes, Abducts, and externally rotates thigh
Collective motion - Flexion, abduction, external rotation of the thigh (when performed bilaterally = tailor sitting)
