Ask the patient to wear shorts.
Anterior or lateral to the patient.
Please sit and rest your foot on your opposite knee. May I touch the side of your knee? (or point to the demonstrated area).
Guide the patient to sit and rest one foot on the opposite knee. With the patient relaxed and with permission, place your fingers on the cord like ligament on the lateral knee joint that is stretched by this position.
The tendon of the popliteus muscle separates the lateral collateral ligament from the lateral meniscus.
VH - Lateral collateral ligament (fibular collateral ligament)- on one side add the medial collateral ligament and the popliteus
