muscle. This tough band runs to the proximal end of tibia. Understand the iliotibial tract is only a modified part of the
fascia lata
or the deep fascia of the thigh. Find the
great saphenous vein
as it ascends the medial side of the lower limb and empties into the
femoral vein.
