Identify the surface features of the cerebrum (refer to the Lateral Brain interactive photographs).
- Identify and carefully remove the arachnoid mater from the surface of the cerebrum.
- Identify the precentral gyrus, central sulcus, postcentral gyrus, lateral sulcus (fissure), and frontal, parietal, occipital and temporal lobes on the lateral side of the cerebrum. (G 7.97;N 106;Gl 47.5)
- Identify the anterior and middle cerebral arteries on the medial aspect of the cerebrum. (G 7.32;N 143;Gl 48.6) Trace the middle cerebral artery to the lateral sulcus.
